Earlier, Ravi Garg worked as Country Director, Business Messaging & Payments for WhatsApp India for 5 years. Announcing the move on LinkedIn, Garg said he was “deeply grateful for the opportunity to lead this new business for one of Meta’s largest regions.”
Garg’s new role comes as Meta seeks to expand its enterprise business across the APAC region, with a focus on business messaging and AI-powered solutions. His responsibilities will include driving the adoption of offerings such as WhatsApp Business Messaging, Meta Business Agents and Muse APIs among businesses.
Before joining WhatsApp, Garg spent 13 years at Microsoft in roles spanning sales, strategy, business planning, and channel management. He has also served as Chief Operating Officer at Nazara Technologies and held a general management role at Sify.
Garg’s expanded role brings his experience in business messaging, enterprise technology, and market development to Meta’s regional operations, as the company works to grow its enterprise offerings across Asia-Pacific.
